Low Tide, Combe Martin, Devon

Having lived in Combe Martin, Devon, UK for quite a number of years, I loved seeing the daily changes of this stunning area of coastline. 

The colour of the sea changed from grey one day to gorgeous deep blue and turquoise the next.  It always fascinated me whatever the season or whether the sun was out or it rained, and the seasonal high tides were amazing to behold! 

This beautiful watercolour painting captures the low tide and the essence of a serene coastal scene, where lush greenery meets a calm body of water under a clear blue sky.  I added a mother and child on the shoreline to give a sense of the great scale of view and I hope this artwork will inspire you to find your own moment of peace and serenity in the midst of everyday life.
