Floral Impressions X

This watercolour has been painted on postcard paper that has had gesso applied which gives a more textured surface to paint on.

I enjoyed painting the impression of this group of tulips with their soft edges and the gentle blending of colours.  The various shades of green contrast beautifully with the purple flowers creating a delicate and ethereal, tranquil mood.

The painting is wax varnished and mounted onto a varnished natural wood panel, ready to hang and comes with a Certificate of Authenticity
